The Newport Revitalization and Preservation Society invites you to our Movies Under the Stars series on June 14th for Inside Out! We thank Members 1st Credit Union for their generous sponsorship of our first movie this summer.
Bring your chairs and blankets and enjoy this free movie under the stars at Newport Veterans Memorial Park (Front and Oliver Streets). The Newport Girls Fast Pitch League concession stand will be open.
Screening begins at 8:45 pm and ends at approximately 10:15 pm. Rated PG.

Inside Out a heartwarming animated film by Pixar, takes viewers on an emotional journey inside the mind of an 11-year-old girl named Riley. The story revolves around five core emotions—Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust—personified as vibrant characters who guide Riley through her life.
When Riley’s family moves from Minnesota to San Francisco, her emotions struggle to help her adapt to the drastic changes. Joy, the optimistic leader, tries to keep Riley happy, but chaos ensues when she and Sadness are accidentally swept out of the “Headquarters” (Riley’s control center). Together, they must navigate Riley’s mind, exploring her memories, imagination, and personality islands, to restore balance.
The film beautifully illustrates the importance of embracing all emotions, not just happiness, in shaping our experiences and relationships. It’s a touching, visually stunning tale about growth, resilience, and the complexity of human emotions.
