The Newport Revitalization and Preservation Society invites you to our Movies Under the Stars series on July 25th for National Treasure! We thank “The Newport Owls Club” for their generous sponsorship of our second movie this summer.
Bring your chairs and blankets and enjoy this free movie under the stars at Newport Veterans Memorial Park (Front and Oliver Streets). The Newport Girls Softball League concession stand will be open.
Screening begins at 8:45 pm and ends at approximately 10:15 pm. Rated PG.

National Treasure
Historian and code-breaker Ben Gates (Nicolas Cage) has been searching his whole life for a rumored treasure dating back to the creation of the United States. Joining an expedition led by fellow treasure hunter Ian Howe (Sean Bean), Gates finds an ice-locked Colonial ship in the Arctic Circle that contains a clue linking the treasure to the Declaration of Independence. But when Howe betrays him, Gates has to race to get to the document ahead of his so-called colleague.
